After Golden Tate was interviewed by Dave Softy Mahler, from KJR-FM on (Wednesday afternoon) May 21, 2014; he tweeted “From our talk with Golden Tate, sounds like the Seattle Seahawks will receive their Super Bowl XLVIII rings on June 19th.  The Baltimore Ravens received their rings last June.”Wow, is it that time already for the champions to receive their Super Bowl rings?  The Seahawks demonstrated dedication, motivation, and hard work throughout the season and they finished with a “Boom.”

Man, all of us want to know what the rings are going to look like and how much they are allowing each player to spend. According to Wikipedia, the first Super Bowl ring was given out in 1967 when the “First National Football League (NFL) champion Green Bay Packers defeated the American Football League (AFL) champion Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 35-10.” This was the kickoff to allow the teams to show off their accomplishments and make it known that they are 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII champions. This ring signifies that the Seattle Seahawks are part of the “2.5% of NFL players” (wiki.answers.com) to receive Super Bowl rings in history.

Many companies will compete for the contract to make the Seahawks Super Bowl rings, but one thing will remain regardless of who gets it.  That is design of the ring.  It will be big and stunning with many diamonds or gems, the team name, team logo, the Super Bowl in Roman numerals and any other items the team wants to personalize. No matter how the ring looks, it is a great honor for any NFL player to achieve during their football career.

But this is not all for the 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII champions, they were asked to go to Washington and meet President Barack Obama at the White House so he could personally congratulate them on their win. These are two remarkable accomplishments that anyone would like to achieve in their life time. Congratulations Seattle Seahawks!
