Stop Sleeping on This Talented Ravens Back!

Yes, yes, I know that is Tavon Young in the photo. Trying to see if yall are awake out there.  For those who didn’t catch it, I switched it already.

J.K. J.K. J.K. (like Marsha Marsha Marsha!). How much can we hear about folks bragging about the Ravens’ steal of a RB, J.K. Dobbins before hitting the point of nausea? I get it; he’s solid. The second-round pick makes great catches downfield, beat Ezekiel Elliott’s college rushing totals, and makes LBs miss with ease, but there are other guys in this quartet.

One particular guy, folks are truly sleeping on. Justice Hill as just about as much talent as any starter in the NFL. Honestly right now, take a look at the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ current roster. You can’t tell me that if Gus Edwards or Justice Hill were available, they would not be starting. You probably think I’ve been sniffing paint out back or something but I am serious. Don’t believe me? Go look at the tape. Here’s a snippet:

The ability is there. Sure, some people look at him as just a speedster, but the guy keeps those legs moving after contact and finishes plays. Sports Illustrated can see it. One of their writers, Zach Lancaster had this to say about the second-year player:

Justice is a strong, fast and shifty back that proved he has what it takes to compete at the next level. He’s also a threat out of the backfield catching the ball, something that’s going to be play into Hill getting more looks in his sophomore season.Oklahoma State fans knew that he could make it following his solid career in Stillwater. Hill finished with 632 carries for 3,539 yards and 30 touchdowns.

I’m not banging the table for Hill to start but what I am getting at is he has the talent to take over a game if needed. Baltimore began to see flashes of that towards the end of the season but still drafted another RB to bury him on the depth chart. With the Ravens breaking the rushing record and keeping that approach going forward this season, the former OSU Cowboy will hopefully get more work in the rotation.

Outside of Baltimore and Oklahoma, there are very few who recognize what he brings to the table, and it will be tough to see the peak of that this season but should any injuries happen to any of the top 3 dogs in this bunch, you best believe Justice will be served.
