Percy Harvin: One Game Down…

Durability, that’s it! That’s all I have to say about it. Cut, print, post! In all seriousness though, Percy Harvin had several scares last night on big hits from players of the Green Bay Packers. Clay Matthews appeared to try to rip his head off in the first half but thankfully to no avail. Harvin proved to be quite the picture of health in last nights game.

The Seattle Seahawks as a whole put on an eccentric performance and Harvin showed that his injury history could possibly be behind him. His 4 rushes for 41-yards combined with his 7 catches for 59-yards were convincing enough in my opinion that it was not a mistake to pick up the World Champions’ top receiver in my Fantasy draft.

Of course one game means nothing but Harvin has now played in 2 back to back games that actually matter. The other game I am talking about of course was the Super Bowl, where he was so electric, that it may have almost been worth the $13 million salary he was paid in 2013 (kidding).

Even Packers’ Head Coach Mike McCarthy had to give Percy his due saying,

“He’s a dynamic player, we knew that coming in. Being able to run the speed sweeps off of motion…getting him the ball out on the perimeter…”

What we found out this game was nothing new. We know when healthy Harvin is the most exciting player on the field. The question is can he stay healthy?

I think there are bids going on in Vegas on how many games he will stay healthy and the odds have to be against the full season 36-1. I sure hope he can, because after seeing last night’s game it is easy to see why people love number 11 in Seattle.
