Andrew Luck: Elite in Reality and in Fantasy

Andrew Luck seems to get better and better each time he rears back to throw a pass. Its truly miraculous, whether your an Indianapolis Colts fan or your allegiance lies elsewhere, you are always in for a treat when you watch Luck play. Whether its his comeback drives, time and time again. Whether its his scrambles that, still to this day, shocks us that he can move with such speed and power for someone of his size. He breaks the mold in every single way. A quarterback that has the ability to out throw anyone he faces, or can scramble and rush for a touchdown or a first down. NFL.com’s Adam Schein is a believer as he had this to say.

The premise was simple: When you stack up the young quarterbacks, by any standard or measuring stick, the answer is Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck is actually second in the NFL with the most rushing Touchdowns for a QB in the last 3-years. He also leads all QB’s for percentages of rushes that equate in a first down or Touchdown. He owns almost every QB record a 3rd year guy can have, and still continues to impress, especially when you realize the accolades he has earned is with an honest to god weak team surrounding him.

Its a bit to early to judge his Offensive Line so far this year, but every year he has played in the NFL his Offensive Line has ranked near the bottom in pass blocking, sacks allowed, run blocking, etc. He showed he could win with no true offensive weapons (major offensive injuries including: Reggie Wayne, Ahmad Bradshaw, Donald Thomas, Vick Ballard, Dwayne Allen, and others) besides T.Y.Hilton and Colby Fleener. He has shown no matter how many points his team is down by, the Colts are never out of the game with Luck at the helm.

He has won against the top teams in the NFL (last season Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs) even when his team had major injuries, the worst offensive line, no run game, and down at halftime by a large sum of points.

With that being said, many people have asked the question of whether or not Luck is an elite QB or not. Many people also ask if Andrew Luck is a top fantasy option or not. If last years comeback win after comeback win (with an injury prone team I want to remind you) didn’t answer these questions for you than there is no doubt in my mind the first three games this season has helped answer the questions for you as well. Just incase you still have no answers, I will help you discover the knowledge you all desperately seek. The answer is yes…HELL YES!
