So last week I told you how ugly it was with me getting only 5 picks right? Well sunshine always comes after the rain folks and I don’t mean to brag but…well, yes I do. I got 13 of my picks right! Week 4 is here and of course I went with my Ravens on Thursday night and it finally paid off. Thank you Josh Scobee! Here are the rest of your week 4 picks.
New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins
Chris Ivory coming back for the Jets means a lot for the running game and creates more play-action opportunities for Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. Look for the Jets’ D to bring it home for the team. Look for a pink slip to be handed out after this one. Joe Philbin may have a sad flight back home from London.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville is a team that cannot get off the field on third down on Defense. Additionally they don’t know what multiple turnovers look like on Defense. Matt Hasselbeck or Andrew Luck? The Colts can’t figure this one out due to injuries and private throwing sessions. This is a team that is inconsistent and just got their first win last week against the Titans. I am calling for an upset if Blake Bortles can give his squad more production than last week’s embarrassing loss to the Patriots last week.
Houston Texans vs. Atlanta Falcons
I have zero confidence in this Texans team. HOTlanta is firing on all cylinders and even without Julio Jones they can get it done on the ground. The Texans just got their first win against arguably the worst starting QB in the league in Jameis Winston. Until the Texans get better on offense, I will not be picking them the entire season.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals
I’ll never be impressed with a team that just got their first passing TD to a receiver in week 3. Jamaal Charles will not be very productive this week against a monster Bengals D. Andriel Jeremiah Green is a man’s mans. He will beast on every corner in the league and I just don’t think this Chief’s D will contain him.
New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills
Eli Manning is a guy who makes mistakes and the Bills are a team who capitalizes off of them. Odell Beckham Jr. is a very talented receiver but he cannot take on this Bills’ D by himself. Add the electric Tyrod Taylor to the equation and this spells disaster for the G-Men.
Oakland Raiders vs. Chicago Bears
Jimmy Clausen really upset me. I believed in him and while his debut was difficult against Seattle, I expected more. Derek Carr is a breath of fresh air for a team that sucked for so long. Look for Amari Cooper to be the star of this game and for the Black and Silver to bring home the W in enemy territory.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins
This will be the “Ground Bowl” as both of these teams are ranked 21 and 23 in passing offenses. I love both stables of RBs and this will be exciting to watch believe it or not. Welcome to a real smash mouth football matchup as both are ranked in the top 10 run defenses. Look for Sam Bradford to actually have to put this game on his shoulders to pull this one out.
Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
No legit WR? No problem. This is the mentality of Cam Newton. He is leaps and bounds better than rookie Jameis Winston. The Panthers’ D is scary and the Bucs Offense is NOT. That is all you need to know.
Cleveland Browns vs. San Diego Chargers
Johnny Manziel got the Browns their only win and is not starting. The worst run-D belongs to the “boo-boo” Browns. However I still think Rivers plans to air it out. Joe Haden will make him pay but I don’t think Rivers will stop his air attack. It will be a nasty battle but Chargers are just a better squad.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Denver Broncos
Manning’s body is not as strong but that brilliant mind is still there and her will find a way to get the job done in the air. He has a great defense to rely on as well. AP is back and looking beastly but I don’t think Teddy will be able to produce against the Orange and Blue.
Couch Pick: Broncos
Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers
Aaron Rogers completely blasted KC last week and that assault will continue with a porous SF team who got obliterated by AZ last week.
St Louis Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals
While this may be a battle of the defenses, the winner will be the team who can produce via air. With Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald looking better than ever connecting on 5-TDs already this year. If they can keep this production up against a very nasty Rams Defense they’ll be victorious.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints
Brees may be back but NO was losing before Breezy was injured. Jimmy Graham is missed in this offense. The ground game is getting better but I believe Dallas has more to offer than the aints.
Couch Picks: How bout dem Cowboys
Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks now have their boom back and I just don’t see much of anything impressive in Detroit. Their average rushing yards per game is at a measly 45 yards per game. That is dead last. Not even the now down to earth Megatron can save this team.
