Will the ground game lead the G-men to victory?

We all know about the talents of 2x Superbowl winning QB Eli Manning and his ability to air it out. We also know that he is a shadow of his former self. What I am getting at is will Saquan Barkley be the determining factor for tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles?

New York has a measly 75 yards per game average and only one TD on the season through 5 games. Does anyone see this as a major problem for this offense or is it just me. The team is having all of these ramblings of a resurgence after they had an ok game against the Carolina Panthers in week 5. If that W is going to happen, they need to change their game plan up.

Yes, I am aware Philly has the 2nd ranked rushing defense in football only allowing 66 yards per game and only 2 TDs on the season, but this is where NY needs to attack their strong point.

Odell Beckham is the kind of player who is going to need constant monitoring as he is due for a breakout game. Due to that type of threat on the outside, Eagles’ Defensive Coordinator. Jim Schwartz has to place the nickel corner on the field instead of the linebacker in order to keep an extra DB on Beckham. This type of defensive set is only going to allow them to place 7 in the box to stop the run.

Hopefully, the Giants are able to exploit this type of opportunity and get the ground game going for Saquan. If not, look for the G-Men’s losing streak and divisional woes so continue.
